Boston talks all things Intel Lustre & is joined by Diablo #9

Posted on 02 December, 2014

This year at MEW Head of HPC at Boston Limited, Dave Power will talk about the Intel IEEL Lustre appliance! It's the Lustre's year to shine as it marks a great example of an HPC-born technology. The Lustre is destined for great things in the enterprise world and Boston are excited to discuss why on stand #9.

This open source, distributed, parallel, clustered file system is designed for maximum performance at a massive scale. It is safe to say the Lustre is resource efficient and cost effective! One main reason why the Lustre is so important is because it is built for speed and scale, Lustre is the ideal choice for speed, as it has unmatched performance.

The efficiency of the Lustre is major, as it achieves +90% utilization of storage and network hardware. The lustre is affordable, stable and reliable as it is backed by Intel, the worldwide leader in Lustre support. The importance of fast, scalable storage has never been so high, this is why the Lustre is so important!

Good fit applications for the Lustre include financial analysis, Geoscience, Bioinformatics, Energy and Engineering.

This year at MEW Boston Limited will be in partnership with Diablo Technologies, they will be joining us on stand #9 with a database video showing the latest MCS devices. The MCS devices allow infrastructures to scale with their growing data. This technology also eliminates the need for evergrowing SAN storage and moves the database to high-performance, scalable, and flexible server-side storage. Find out about how the MCS provides more OLTP Transactions per Second with dramatically lower latency. Overall Database applications run faster - delivering a better user experience.

We invite you to join us at MEW on stand #9 to find out more about these technologies.
